GB Energy Limited was successfully listed on the Australian Securities Exchange on 4 June 2007. Originally engaged in the broad energy sector, GB Energy had a diverse range of assets including oil and gas exploration projects in the Czech Republic and New Zealand, uranium exploration licenses in Slovakia and a wave energy technology project in Western Australia.

Following a strategic review of their assets GB Energy withdrew from the oil and gas projects and directed focus towards the renewable energy and cleantech sectors. Our vision is to identify and partner with outstanding and innovative technology companies -that address a high growth market opportunity - by investing our expertise and capital.

GB Energy invests in the early stages of business development including start-up companies and proof of concept funding. Our investment focus encompasses:

• Renewable Energy: including wind, solar, marine, biomass
• Cleantech: including water and other environmental and efficiency technologies
