Mr Fergus Wilmer - Chairman

Mr Wilmer was appointed Director and Chairman on 3 December 2018.

He is a private equity executive and investor. Previously, he was CEO of SUNDAY, a mobile telecommunications services provider in Hong Kong.

Mr Wilmer’s earlier roles include starting and leading Spice Telecom, the fastest growing mobile telecommunications operation in India. He held senior roles with Hutchison Whampoa, where his assignments included CEO of Hanny Magnetics, a Hong Kong listed company that manufactured and distributed electronic storage products. He was also CEO of Orange France.

Prior to Hutchison, Mr Wilmer spent eight years with Husky Oil, a fully integrated oil and gas company based in Alberta, Canada and two years with Shell Canada.

Ms Sheree Ford - Non-Executive Director

Ms Ford was appointed a Director on 4 January 2023.

She has practiced as a solicitor for over 30 years, initially in private practice and then as in house counsel and company secretary, largely in the energy and resources sector.

In the energy sector Ms Ford commenced her career as a lawyer for BHP Limited and subsequently undertook roles as general counsel and company secretary and as a member of the executive team at several listed and unlisted companies, including Beach Energy Limited, Interoil Corporation and Roc Oil Company Limited.

Mr Andrew Purcell - Non-Executive Director

Mr Purcell was appointed a Director on 30 January 2023.

Mr Purcell formed the Lawndale Group (formerly Teknix Capital) in Hong Kong over 15 years ago, a company specialising in the development and management of projects in emerging markets across heavy engineering, petrochemical, resources and infrastructure sectors.  Prior to this, he spent 12 years working in investment banking across the region for Macquarie Bank and then for Credit Suisse.

Mr Purcell also has had significant experience as a public company director, both in Australia and in several jurisdictions across Asia. He currently serves as the Chairman of both AJ Lucas Group Limited (ASX: AJL) and Melbana Energy Limited (ASX: MAY).

Mr Tom Todd - Non-Executive Director

Mr Todd was appointed a Director on 17 July 2024.

Mr Todd is an investor and director in natural resources companies, across a range of commodities and regions. Mr Todd was the CFO of Aston Resources from 2009 to November 2011 and Custom Mining between 2007 and 2009.

Prior to Custom Mining, Mr Todd spent four years with GE, ultimately as an Executive Director in the Energy Financial Services business, responsible for sourcing investments in the coal and Oil & Gas industry in Australia and New Zealand.

Mr Todd is a chartered accountant, having started his career in London with PricewaterhouseCoopers before moving to work in their transaction services group in Sydney. 

Mr Tim Baldwin - Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director

Mr Baldwin was appointed a Director on 14 December 2021.

He has a deep understanding of both energy and financial markets having reviewed 400+ investment opportunities.

Mr Baldwin was previously a partner at GEMS, an oil and gas focused private equity firm where he managed multiple investments in parallel, exercising full strategic and operational control at board and executive level, in both public and private companies. Mr Baldwin controlled investment processes and approvals, financial budgeting and planning.

Prior to GEMS Mr Baldwin worked for 10+ years at BP across Australia, Singapore and London in a number of commercial, operational and strategic roles.

Mr Peter Fennessy - Chief Commercial Officer and Executive Director

Mr Fennessy was appointed a Director on 16 December 2021.

Mr Fennessy has both technical and commercial experience and is a geologist by background.

Mr Fennessy negotiated and documented the first merchant underground gas storage agreement in Australia. He played a major role in the complete restructure of the Victorian gas market with a key focus on wholesale gas markets and gas supply. Mr Fennessy has almost 40 years experience in commercial and upstream technical roles in the oil and gas industry having previously worked for BP, Kinetik and Alinta.
